What we do

Tree Removal In Tallahassee and Surrounding Counties

Tree removal can be avoided in some cases, particularly when a safe and reasonable alternative is available that will allow you to keep your tree. These alternatives include proactive tree maintenance; cabling and bracing to create artificial support for your trees; and fertilizing to provide lacking elements in the soil.

Tree removals address health, safety, liability and aesthetics and also enable competing species to develop and mature. In certain instances, you may have to remove a tree that is alive if it is interfering with other trees, buildings, driveways or utility wires.

Tree removal around houses and other obstacles requires specific training, skill and equipment to ensure their safe removal and the protection of your home. The use of specialized equipment during tree removal is determined by the conditions of your landscape, tree stability and the safety of our men. Standard tree removal includes bringing the tree(s) down, cleaning up and hauling it away. Prices for stump grinding will be separate and discounts for not hauling may be applied.

Visual defects on trees that would call for removal: You need to visually inspect your trees for the following defects that may cause a tree to fail.
  • Cavities or rotten wood along the trunk or in major branches.
  • Mushrooms or conks growing anywhere on the trunk or around the root flare of the stump indicate that there is decay and hollows inside the tree.
  • Cracks and splits anywhere on the trunk, limbs or trunk to limb attachment.
  • A strong lean could cause uprooting.
  • Large wounds such as where a main limb or stem has broken off leads to decay and further loss in strength and balance.
  • Root damage from lowering or raising the soil level, installing pavement, repairing sidewalks or trenching for irrigation.
  • Improper pruning in the past or tree topping can weaken a tree’s stability.
  • Dead or dying limbs in the canopy of the tree.

Annual Tree Hazard Inspections should be performed to effectively manage your tree hazards before they present themselves as problems or damaged property. Contact us to set up an annual Tree Hazard Inspection at the cost of $75.00 per inspection.
